Shenzhen, China - Cudy has announced the launch of two 4G AC1200 Wi-Fi routers LT12 and LT700, providing more budget-friendly options for customers looking for high-speed internet without needing a wired connection. These two models equip 4G Cat. 12 and Cat. 6 respectively, offering significantly improved speed and stability. For users looking for affordable speed bump and areas where the carriers' 4G capped at Cat. 6 or Cat. 12, LT12 and LT700 are the answers.

Faster 4G Speeds with Carrier Aggregation

Featuring Carrier Aggregation, the LT12 and LT700 stream data on multiple carrier bands simultaneously, effectively expanding the available bandwidth for faster data transfer. LT12 goes even faster with 4x4 MIMO, delivering a smoother internet experience. LT12 supports 3CA and 4x4 MIMO, pushing the peak download speed to 600 Mbps. LT700 supports 2CA with a peak download speed of 300 Mbps. In comparison, LT500, LT500D, and LT400 with the 4G Cat. 4 modules provide peak download speed at 150 Mbps.

"One band can be easily congested due to contention or the 4G tower's reason," said Nick Yu, the Cudy hardware researcher, "but with Carrier Aggregation, users' experience won't be affected by such glitches as LT12 and LT700 communicate with signal tower on multiple bands simultaneously."

Background knowledge: 4G is not a universal standard, but rather a group of multiple iterations. The 4G Cat. 6 is the breakpoint between 4G and LTE-Advanced (or 4G+). LTE-Advanced incorporates numerous features, such as Carrier Aggregation and 4x4 MIMO, to enhance communication speed and quality between the signal tower and the router.

LT700 Peak 4G Speed: 300/50 Mbps

Dual SIM, Detachable Cellular Antennas, and More Features

Equipped with dual SIM slots, both LT12 and LT700 provide SIM failover by allowing user plugging in two SIM card—when one SIM card fails to connect, systems automatically switch to another card, improving network redundancy. WAN/Cellular failover is also available by setting the LAN/WAN port into WAN mode and plugging in a wired connection. In some areas, 4G signal may not be optimal in the house, and the detachable cellular antenna design enables users to optimize signal quality by connecting extension antennas and placing them to a higher and more open location. These features maximize redundancy and keep you online.

As a Wi-Fi router, the LT12 and LT700 turn 4G into fast network for all—AC1200 Wi-Fi and full gigabit ports enable fast and responsive network sharing for up to 128 devices. It also supports Mesh network for building seamless whole-home coverage with other Cudy Mesh products. As for security features, both models integrate popular VPN servers and clients in 6 protocols, and DNS over TLS, supporting services provided by Cloudflare, Google, and Quad9.

Comprehensive Range of Offering for All Major 4G Categories

While higher 4G standards bring faster speeds, such as the Cudy LT18 with 4G Cat. 18 that supports up to 1.2 Gbps downlink speed, reaching the peak speed requires the signal tower also to support the same or higher 4G standard. Many cellular carriers still offer Cat. 6/12, making these mid-tier products a more economical choice for customers who need faster and more reliable internet access.

"Apart from the most developed regions, the highest standard Cat. 18 is not very commonly used due to the implementation cost. We've noticed that few high-speed 4G routers can achieve the balance between performance and affordability," said Reed Liu, the head of product development, "LT12 and LT700 are the answers for the market. With the launch of the LT700 and LT12 routers, we expand the 4G portfolio to all major 4G categories, offering customers more options for faster and more reliable internet access while keeping the price tag budget-friendly."
